Today I held my friend and kissed her and told her what a good and faithful friend she had been to me. Often times I took her for granted and sometimes I cussed her for her mistakes, but she always was the first to forgive and she always listened to me. She put up with a lot, and took it in stride. Everyone who has met her holds her somewhere in their hearts. I held her as she drifted off to sleep today, and kissed her one last time, never to be forgotten!

Lizzie turned 5 in September and we have been promising her since she she was 3 that she could go to Disneyland when she turned 5. So Brian was able to get a week off and we took advantage of it! We met Brian's parents there and spent a couple days with them. My parents and my sister met up with us a couple days later. It was awesome, and we were sad to leave. Between Brian sleeping during the day and now Charlie is sleeping with me at night I never get time on the computer so I am skipping September for now and posting some Halloween fun for family and friends who have asked for it! We had a ton of fun Friday Trunk-or-Treat, Saturday a party at The Little Gym, and Monday another party and Trick-or-Treating what more could a couple of girls ask for? Unfortunately Brian had to work for most of it but maybe next year if we are lucky!

Trunk-or-Treat, it was actually quite chilly that day so we had to layer.

August flew by in a flash we finished up the summer with some beignets, and some BBQ. Then it was off to school. Lizzie has one more year of Preschool or rather Pre-K if you ask her, and she is loving it. She gets to ride the bus, make lots of friends, eat lunch in the cafeteria and even check out books at the library. She goes everyday from 11 till 2:30 she will be so prepared for all day kinder next year! The other day she told me she was so glad that we put her in school this year because she has so many friends! Surprisingly recess is her favorite part of school.

July here can only be described with one word, HOT! We spend a lot of time at the pool with friends and the rest of the time inside! It's kind of like winter in UT just opposite, if that makes sense. We have awesome friends and the Fourth was super fun even if we didn't have any fireworks this year, due to a severe drought!

Only a father would let this fly, she thought it was great!

With summer in full swing around here, schools out and we are having some fun!
Getting ready to go swimming is almost as fun as the actual swimming itself.

What's better than a warm summer day and a sucker, not much I'd say!

In this heat who doesn't want to walk around like this, I would too if I looked that good in my underwear!

What girl doesn't need a little pedicure so they can look fabulous sporting those sandals!

We broke down and bought them both bikes so they could get some exercise, I don't think the training wheels will be off anytime soon though!

My May Flowers

What can I say we had a lot of fun in May! We flew into UT on the 9th and that evening we had a birthday bash for Papa Wayne he turned the big 60! Individual pictures turned out great but put together dinner time and group pictures and this is what you get!

Only in UT does it snow in the middle of May, it was cold to say the least!

Papa Scott built Lizzie this really neat tree house, she loved it and she even made a sign to put on it, no sisters allowed (she was allowed in only for the photo).

April flew by in a flash:

April started with a picnic with friends during Priesthood session, the boys barbeque and enjoy the session so we thought we should have some fun too!

Grammy came in for a quick visit and of course we had to make a trip down to the Zoo!

Also just ask anyone Grammy Loves to color Easter eggs!

Charlie turned 2 on the 23rd, we had a little party with a little food and some presents!

March was the month of Charlie, most of my pictures are of her so I tried to sneak in a few of Lizzie. We potty trained Charlie, celebrated St Patrick's day and also had a unexpected visitor who Lizzie tried to adopt (Sorry blogger messed up the order of my pictures and I can't get them back).

This little guy was in our garage one Sunday morning, Lizzie wanted to keep him but I just had visions of him getting loose in our house.

Potty training Charlie was a breeze she was done completely in three days, this kid is very candy motivated!

We literally color Easter eggs at least three times before the actual holiday!

Playing Catch Up: February

I really wasn't going to play catch up, but as I was organizing my pictures I decided that there were some cute ones that I just couldn't forget about. My girls are growing up so fast and I am so worried that I am going to forget something. For Christmas Uncle Wes and Aunt Danae gave us this really cute book and after only a couple times reading it Lizzie had it memorized, here she is reading it. For some reason I forgot to take pictures on Valentines day so this is all I have for February.

Ogden Half Marathon

For those of you who don't know, for the past few months I have been training for my first Half Marathon. Now this is a big deal for me because I was not a runner at all, until about a year ago. I do have to say not all of it was fun, but I am now addicted! I was able to run this beautiful race with my mother and my sister-in-law Katie (btw thanks Katie I stole the pictures from her blog). We had so much fun, the weather couldn't have been better and this honestly was the most beautiful race ever. We took it slow and just enjoyed it, I can't wait to do it again next year and we are planning on adding a few more to our pack (hint, hint, Mary, Danae, Lori). I do want to give a shout out to my other sister-in-law Emily who actually ran her first full marathon in this same race, you are my hero!

While in UT we did our big race, I haven't put together my pictures yet so I will post about the Half next time. But Lizzie and Charlie have put in their time training for my race also. A few days before the race Lizzie mentioned that she would like to run in a race sometime also. It just so happened that they have a kids-k that same day. We signed her up and she was so excited, it was cute because they got a shirt and a medal so she thought she won!

Back to the blogging world that is, I really have lost my motivation to blog lately as you can see. I am trying to get inspired again, we will see how long this lasts! Last month we took a trip home to Utah to see our family, it was a lot of fun but cold!
The first day we got there we had a big party for Papa Wayne's birthday we also had family pictures. We did the individual families first then the group picture and you can certainly tell that it was dinner time! We will just say that it was a memory!

So I really couldn't think of a clever title post it is way to late and my brain shuts off as soon as the kids go to bed. Basically this covers the rest of November and Thanksgiving we didn't take any pics of the actual celebration but we had fun! I got the girls to sit still for a moment but it is really hard to get a good picture of both of them at the same time.

Happy Birthday Lizzie! September 25th exactly four years ago Elizabeth Ann Snow was born, I can't believe it was that long ago! She loves dinosaurs, princesses, reading, playing with her animals, computer games and playing on Daddies phone. She is super smart and I couldn't ask for a nicer kid! I am truly blessed to have her in my life, I love you Lizzie!

SHE IS FINALLY WALKING, it has taken me a while to post this but last month she up and started walking. Really she just took off and walked around the room and hasn't stopped since. It is so nice to have two walking kids, her tantrums are lessening I think she is overall a lot less frustrated and so am I! This isn't the best video but really you get the point!

New School and New Moves

The beginning of this month Lizzie started preschool here, we ended up doing a preschool co-op and I think it is working out great! She picked out her own backpack at Target, even though it is almost the same size as her, she loves it!

Here are her little preschool friends, ironically there are only two girls in the class and both are named Lizzie, go figure.

She started Gymnastics here and I really like this one, her first time was last Friday. There are only two other kids in her class, but she was the only one to show up and she loved the one on one attention. These parallel bars were her favorite!

I think it is safe to say that my kids don't set records when it comes to walking. They do however get pretty creative adapting to life not walking. This is Charlie's new way to dance it started out just back and forth and progressed into this, I think its pretty cute!

Growing up it was not unusual to see a combo of Cow Boy Boots and dresses, Snow Boot Liners, and Peter Pan costumes. The thing is I was usually whining to my parents to not let my sister wear it to the store. So it's safe to say that it runs in the family, just I think I got the wrong kid.
It's not unusual these days to see gardening gloves, tutu's, head bands, and snow boots worn at my house most of the time all at once!

The Fourth festivities!

Our Fourth of July was relatively quiet, because Bri had to work his first on call (which this month consists of a 30 hour shift). But we still managed to have a little bit of fun!

Saturday we made festive cookies, I know I am no Jenny or Megan but we had fun making them anyway!

Sunday in their festive dresses, the hat lasted until the end of the pic then it was off.

Monday we really celebrated the Fourth with a bike parade at the Church, a playdate with some residents spouses and dinner and fun later with some friends from the ward. Next year I plan on finding some fireworks a little sooner but we had fun anyway!

Graduation and the trip to San Antonio

Yeah, Brian finally graduated from medical school on June 4, 2010 which just happened to be our Anniversary also. Two weeks before the movers came and packed up our stuff and shipped it to TX for us. Wednesday the second we loaded up our car and said our goodbyes and headed down for one last drive to sunny AZ. We stopped by the Grand Canyon on our way down since none of us had seen it before, and we arrived in Glendale on Thursday. We met up with Brian's parents that night and Friday Brian graduated! Saturday we hopped into the car again and started our way down to TX, we got lost in El Passo (which is not a place I ever want to go again). With a few minor bumps a long the way we arrived safe and sound to our house Sunday night! Might I add with no furniture and only two pillows between the four of us.

Brian's graduation his parents took most of the pics on their camera so we only have a couple!

May in a nutshell

May went by so fast it's hard to keep up we had a lot of fun playing and we said a lot of goodbyes. We had a wonderful year in UT and we are going to miss everyone a lot! Brian finished his last rotation in medical school ever!

Brian and I took a little trip down to San Antonio to find a place to live. Thanks to everyone who helped out with the kids. Also we are forever indebted to the Emily and Greg for letting us stay at your house. Your kids are wonderful I am so lucky to have met you, even if it was briefly!

My mother, Katie and I did the Ogden 5k together and it was a blast. For those of you who know me I have never been a runner but I am trying. This was my first 5k and hopefully it won't be my last.

We took the girls to the Dino park one last time for a final goodbye. We have really enjoyed all of the fun things in Ogden and we will miss that a lot!

Every Mothers Day our extended family goes over to my Nana's and helps her in her yard. This year was hard without Mike but, its always nice to see our family together.

Finally we did one last Cabin trip to the Snow's Cabin, and as always we had a blast. Sad we didn't take more pics but I guess it was because we were having so much fun!

April 23, 2010 Charlie turned the big 1! It is hard to believe that it has already been a whole year. At least she crawled before her birthday, for my kids that is quite and accomplishment. She was spoiled to say the least, with fun friends and good food what more could a kid want?

Yes, it has been months since my last post but every time I open my blog I just haven't felt inspired. We have been busy playing a lot and just having a ton of fun with family and friends. Brian matched Air Force in San Antonio TX, internal medicine, it was his first choice so we are super stoked. We will be leaving the first week of June and will stay there for three years. Charlie is learning to crawl and Lizzie is growing up so fast it's crazy.

As a new year has begun I have noticed a new trend this year, no one is blogging nearly as much. I chalk it up to all the new additions in our families no one has the time anymore. We are all recovering from the holidays and lets face it we are just plain tired! I can't believe that I haven't updated for so long but like I said it is hard to find the time. We had a great Christmas we were lucky enough to get to spend Christmas up at the Snow's Cabin with lots of family fun! The following Sunday we did Christmas with my family and the kids were spoiled to say the least. We have been baking up a storm and enjoying our new Christmas Vitamix (Yeah, thanks Snow's), playing in the snow and just having a good time. We had a fun filled 2009 and are looking forward to many new adventures this year.

This is what our trees looked like right now, doesn't it make you cold just looking at it? I haven't updated for a while so there are a plethora of pictures on this one but I will try to make it not so long. New Moon girls night was a blast even though Happy Sumo lost our reservations so I didn't get my sushi we still had a lot of fun!

Thanksgiving at Aunt Erin's was crowded but that is what makes it so fun we had over 30 people in one house. What more could you want than good food and lots of family?

Breakfast with Santa is a fun tradition my family has, down at Thanksgiving point. Good food and lots of fun stuff for the kids.

Life according to Lizzie

These past few weeks Lizzie has been saying the funniest things and I keep forgetting to write them down. This post may be boring for some of you but I needed to record some things so I don't forget them. This is Life According to Lizzie. . . .
The other day I made Lizzie some eggs for breakfast and they were warm enough that there was steam coming from the plate, she covered her eyes and said "Oh the smoke is hurting my eyes."
At the store the bag boy was making idol chit chat asked Lizzie how she was doing she replied "I have just been sick, I had Swine Flu." Luckily he couldn't really understand and he just smiled and I hurried off.
This morning as I was fixing my hair Lizzie marched down and announced that she couldn't find her iron to iron her blankie, I told her that I didn't think she had a iron ( I didn't even know she knew what an iron was, that's how often I use one). To which she replied "Oh it must have died," I wonder what they are teaching her at preschool?

A Scary Halloween Visitor

Friday morning Lizzie woke up with a fever and by the afternoon we decided to take her to the doctor. Yes they unofficially confirmed that she has H1N1, unfortunately the test is only right 50 percent of the time so really they said even if it came back negative the doctor would still say that she had it. The bad thing is they only give the medicine to kids under 2 and since she was to old they sent us home with a prescription for Charlie and just told us to watch her. If she developed a cough with mucus then we should worry. So unfortunatly our Halloween was a little lame, we quarantined ourselves and just stayed home. Saturday she still had a fever but she was feeling a little better. Mainly she was just wiped out and would just keep saying how tired she was. We let her carve some pumpkins and she actually trick-or-treated to about 5 houses then she was done. Needless to say I was glad that we had so much fun the week before she didn't mind to much. Today she is doing even better and her fever is almost gone, so far no one else has caught it. Of course Thursday I made appointments for them to get vaccinated on Tuesday and Lizzie catches it the next day go figure.

October Fun

I honestly can't believe that October is almost over time is flying by, before we know it Christmas will be here. We are enjoying the holiday seasons and the lovely fall weather, although I could do without the snow in October. If you don't know or have forgotten my family really gets into holidays and honestly we have had so much Halloween fun already I am expecting Halloween to be relaxing in comparison.

Charlie has started eating solids and boy was she ready. I started Lizzie around 5 months and it took her a while to like her cereal so I decided to wait a little longer with Charlie. She LOVES to eat and eat seriously she will eat a helping of veggies, then some rice cereal and then some milk to top it off. She eats this at least two times a day and sometimes three, I am not to worried though because she is only in the 25th percentile for her height and weight so I have no idea where all the food is going.

Look at that hair Aunt Katie already gave her a haircut and it's still crazy. Although good news it is coming in underneath I think pretty soon I will be able to put some clips in it, we are excited!

I haven't put a picture of River up forever and I thought it was time. She is still hanging in there and this January she will turn 9. I can't believe I have had her for that long, we are lucky to have such a good friend.

After Brian came home we spent a few days at the cabin, it is definitely getting colder but we still had a lot of fun. Lizzie has discovered the joy of s'mores.

We went to Heritage Park with our cousins on Saturday. They have a really cute Halloween celebration for the kids where they can come and wear their costumes and Trick-or-Treat.

A Princess and a Party

Last Friday was Lizzie's Birthday but we didn't celebrate it until Saturday. It was funny because her dad called her and sang to her on Friday she was so convinced that it wasn't her Birthday that she actually cried when he sang to her. Saturday however she was ready for her Birthday and we partied all day long. Princesses and dinosaurs what more could a little girl want? We had lots of visitors and lots of fun, I can't believe how fast she is growing up!

We had a busy week last week playing with our dad and cousins. Brian finally came home last Friday for a short time. Saturday we celebrated my mom's birthday with good food and presents. He left again for Philadelphia on Sunday to take his test, and don't get me started on my issues with Delta airlines, but he finally made it home Tuesday. Wednesday through Saturday we got to spend some time up at Papa Snow's cabin. Friday all the cousins came up for some fun and family pictures and to celebrate Sue's and Lizzie's birthday! Sadly Brian left us again for San Antonio but we are down to three more weeks then he comes home for a while.

I can't believe Summer is practically over, we have been busy having a lot of fun. Brian is coming home tomorrow and we get to spend a few days with him before he takes off again. We are so excited for a UT Autumn and Lizzie has already started her leaf collection. Yes, I still haven't figured out this computer all of the way so these pictures are once again random, but you'll get the idea.

Lizzie was doing a little bird watching with her bird book. I think I have a lot of pictures of her in these pj's, hmm.

Happy Birthday Papa, Sunday the 6Th we had a lot of fun celebrating Papa Scott's Birthday. We had cake and ice cream, presents and good food. What more could you want on your birthday? We Love You Papa!

Lizzie has really been into coloring lately and I can't believe how good she is getting, we have a lot of fun coloring together. Although every picture lately has pretty much been with her eyes closed, go figure.

We had a lot of fun at the Dino park with our cousins Nate, Sam, and Ben. It is really fun to have family so close we really don't get together enough. Lizzie just followed them around and kept them in line she is quite the boss.

Nate and Lizzie couldn't get over the size of these dinosaurs neither one really wanted to turn their back on it.

Lizzie had her first day of preschool (or peeschool as she calls it) today, she got a little nervous at home thinking about it but once we got there she just marched right in and sat down. I do have to say that she was the smallest kid there.

Erika, Alex and I threw Megan a baby shower and it was a lot of fun. She ended up with some great things and it was nice to have a little girl time. We are sad that they are moving away from us so soon, but we can't wait to see that baby Bella!

Everyone in this picture will be so excited that I put it on my blog. I had to show off all the cute ladies at the shower.

Our neighbors had some pony rides the other day and Lizzie was convinced that she needed a pink cowboy hat in order to ride the pony. Well consequently she was the hit of the party and she even got to ride the pony all the way home, she LOVED it.

Last Sunday Brian left for Sacramento to do a rotation. We have missed him a lot and it has only been one week, one down and three more to go. To pass some time we have kept pretty busy playing, swimming, boating and fishing. I have been pretty good at remembering to bring the camera most of the time. Monday we went to Willard Bay with Mike, Sammie, Cade, Eric and Cole. We had a lot of fun in the sand and the water. Wednesday we got to play with the cousins and Grandma Millie. Then Saturday we went fishing at Barkers fish farm, for any of you interested it was great for Lizzie easy enough to keep her attention and cheaper than buying a license and food and they clean and fillet them for you.

Sometimes I think that we forget about Charlie, not that we do it's just when I look back at the pictures three fourths of them are of Lizzie. I guess it's because Charlie is still so small and does the same thing all of the time. This week we decided to go to the Davis County Fair, since Brian leaves Sunday we have been playing a lot with him. Really I am not a big fan of county fairs and I haven't been to one since I was in Junior High, but Lizzie LOVED it and we had some great finds (sarcasm).

Sunday August 2, 2009, Charlotte Ann Snow was blessed by her father. It was a beautiful blessing and we were so lucky to have so much support of family. My parents worked so hard to get everything ready and we all played after the blessing at their house and ate some delicious food.

Thanks to everyone who came and helped with the food it turned out great and we couldn't have done it without you. We love you guys!

And now the moment you all have been waiting for, the Snow Flakes proudly present our playhouse! I know you have all been waiting in anticipation for this post and it has taken me a while to get it done but here it is, complete with silly kids. We have a lot of fun playing in it, thanks to Grammy and Pappa for putting this together.

This past week we went to the dinosaur park with cousins Cade and Eric, for those of you who don't know Lizzie LOVES dinosaurs right now. I think she is the only two year old who loves the live dinosaur exhibit, most are scared of it.

We also went to Cherry Hill with the Snows this week, we had a lot of fun even though Lizzie was really tired. Here is a picture of Grandma Millie and baby Robbie relaxing.

Charlie also reached her three month mark, we don't take her in to the doctor till she turns four months but she sure is growing. She loves to talk and coo she is usually smiley and she loves her sister. She just figured out how to grab things and put them into her mouth. I am so lucky to have such a happy baby!

The adventures of Baby Bird

Lately Lizzie has been referring to herself as Baby Bird. It is rather funny because sometimes I swear she thinks she is a bird, whenever I call her big girl, or big sister which she usually likes she will adamantly tell me "no, I am Baby Bird". Anyway, we haven't had a post for a while because last week Baby Bird was sick with a runny nose and just felt crappy, so we spent most of the week at home for a little r&r. We did do a few things before and after and I did manage to snap a few pics here and there.

I don't know who likes the Bumbo more, Lizzie or Charlie either way it's a neat toy.

Ben is taking over Alex's spot as Lizzie's favorite, I really have to tell her to leave him a lone sometimes just to give him a break. But she did manage to get him to come over two days in a row so even though he won't admit it he really likes her too.

Every week we try to go swimming at Aunt Erin's house. We have so much fun playing with the cousins. Cousin Laura, Isaac and Lydia swimming in the pool.

This is how she spent most of the time in the pool kicking around in the baby floatie, but hey it was a big improvment from last time she at least she was in the water.

Last Friday we went to the Aviary with Dad because he had the day off, it was so much fun to see the babies. Last time we went this baby was in the egg it was fun to see it growing.

A few weeks ago Lizzie got a new princess potty with pictures of crowns on it, she started asking where her crown was, so her dad made her a green princess crown. She wears it everytime she sits on the potty, she can't go potty without it now.

Lizzie's most recent score has been her new playhouse, we found it on craigslist. On the box it said it would take 2 moderatly skilled people 6 to 8 hours to put together. My dad, Brian, and Ben were determined to prove them wrong. It took them combined about 3 1/2 hours to complete, not bad I think. Finished product pictures to come later, I keep meaning to take one but it just hasen't happened yet.

A busy week

Last week we just played and played until we were to tired to do anything else. Monday we went to the Aviary with our cousins and had a lot of fun. Tuesday we went swimming at Aunt Erni's and Lizzie as usual liked the swings better than the pool. Wednesday Lizzie did gymnasitics and we played with Jenny and Addie. Thursday we went to the Zoo and met up with some cousins there, of course I forgot my camera to most of these events but I did manage to snap a few pics. I can't believe how much the Hogle Zoo has changed since I was there last, I barely even recognized it, they have worked hard on it. Friday, we went to the Dinosaur park with Uncle Ben and yes I forgot my camera again but she loved everything about the park. Everytime she would get a little nervouse she would run up to Ben and say "Ben don't be scared, don't be scared." It was really cute how much she loved him being there. Needless to say we are taking it easy this week, but I am sure that it won't last long.

Saturday we got to hang out with family at "R's" cabin we had a lot of fun. After the cabin we went to the Oakley Rodeo for some fun and fireworks. Our girls were so good Lizzie loved it and Charlie was great until the last 10 mins where we left early, Bri and I missed the fireworks but we also missed the traffic, no complaints here. Love hanging out with the cousins, thanks Nana and R for letting us come and play!

We have been busy this last week playing with family and friends, I am a terrible picture taker but I did remember a few times. Today we went to the Tree house with Jenny, Addie, Cassi and Maddux. It was a lot of fun and Lizzie did surprisingly well for how many kids there were. We bought her this new trike and she has ridden it a total of two times, neither of which were her idea it's really rather funny. We had Alex try to teach her thinking maybe she could make it more exciting but even that didn't really work.

This last week was our last week in Arizona, yes we made the long trip back home. We had some fun this week to say our goodbyes. Of course I forgot to take the camera most of the time but I did remember to take a few. Wednesday, Lizzie, Charlie, and I went to the splash park just off of Thunderbird and Lizzie had some fun she isn't to sure about the water she would run around and say it's splashing me. Wednesday night, we had a little girls night at Amanda's to watch a little dancing such fun thanks, Katie. Thursday we went swimming for play group, I'm the only one who has a two year old who prefers to sun bathe, go figure. Saturday night we had a fun barbecue with lots of friends. Thanks for all of you who turned out we are going to miss all of you. Monday we got up early and went to the Zoo for the last time, let me tell you it is so worth getting up early you get to see so much more. Lizzie got to feed the Giraffes and a few other animals, we had a lot of fun. The trip home took a long 14 hours but our girls were awesome and we made it safe and sound. I can't believe we are three years down only one more to go before we start a whole new adventure.

Today was the official first day of packing, I think that I have started two full boxes and boy am I tired. Lizzie on the other hand is on a roll she packed four boxes and she said that she needed some more. She is ready to go to Grammy's but I also think that she is worried that we are going to leave something behind. Either way she is really getting into this packing thing. I really can't believe that we only have a week and a half left in AZ. I have already started to say some goodbyes, how sad is that?

One Month and One Year

This past weekend was a weekend of endings. First, on Saturday Charlie was one month old if this month is any indication of how fast time is going to fly she will be grown before I know it. I can't believe that it really has been a whole month. Tomorrow we go to the doctor to find out how big she is getting and I will post that later.
Second, Brian finished another year of school, technically he still has to take his end of year exams but he is officially done with his rotations. Yeah another year down and only one more to go, it is kind of sad to see friends go and life changing we have kind of been in our little bubble here and now things are going to be different. I am not saying that it has been easy at all but it has been fun, we are lucky to get to spend our last year with family, but we are going to miss all of the friends that we have made.

We love Arizona this time of year, the weather is warm (100 plus) but it's great! This week Brian has been on nights and so our schedule was thrown off a little, but it has been great to have him around more during the day to help out with Lizzie. Lizzie loves her Dad and he is awesome at teaching her new things. I find since I am with her everyday we kind of get into a rut, but Brian loves to test her learning abilities and it's fun to see how much a little kid can actually learn. This week he has been teaching her to read, actually it's just sight recognition but she is doing excellent. I haven't gotten it on video yet but it's fun, she picks out what word she wants to learn and he puts it on a flash card and whenever she goes through her cards she gets a sticker after. She is up to around 10ish in just a week.
Lizzie's new obsession lately has been the hose, who knew that a hose could be so fun. Every day we have to go out back and squirt off the patio, we make foot prints, rainbows, give river a bath and multiple drinks and anything else she can come up with.
Charlie is a good baby and she made it through her first time at church today. She was excellent and slept through most of it, we had to go out more times for Lizzie than Charlie. I have a feeling that will change soon, but for now it is nice.

I want to say Happy Mother's Day to all of my mothers, and grandmothers. I am so lucky to have such great examples in my life, to help me be the best mother to my kids. Not only my mom but my grandmother's and aunts and cousins and friends. Thank you everyone, I don't know what I would do without you!

(Warning this is a long post)
I know it has been a little while since my last post but life is a little more hectic with two it takes a little adjustment, I give props to those moms with more than two. Still we have been enjoying life day by day. Grammy and Pappa came down this week and played, it was a big help I am not looking forward to Monday when I have to do it all by myself. We went to the park and the Zoo and just hung out I didn't take enough pictures but you get the idea. Lizzie is adjusting pretty well for a two year old, it is hard to learn to share your mom. Charlie is a good baby, she eats well and sleeps really well for only being a week old. She loves to cuddle, which is nice after having Lizzie who doesn't and never really did like it. Although it translates to wanting to be held all of the time, which makes things a little more difficult.
I know that I was vague on the last post about Charlie I was a little tired and I just wanted to get that post up, so here is the scoop for those of you who were wondering. Wednesday night the 22 I started to get a couple of contractions, I had just been to the doctor that day and I was only dialated to a 3. With Lizzie I had contractions for a couple of days before I actually delivered and even then I labored in the hospital for over 12 hours so I really wasn't planning on the baby coming any time soon. I went to sleep and woke up around 1 and I was having contractions about 6 mins apart but they weren't that strong so I just kind of put it off. But by 4 I decided that they weren't slowing down and Brian finally convinced me to call a friend and go in (thanks Juliann). We got to the hospital about quarter to five and by the time they checked me in and did all the things they needed to they finally checked me and I was dilated to a full 9. I was rushed up to the delivery room, litterally Brian said it was like in the movies they were running down the hall pushing me on a bed. We got there and basically I had her after one push at 5:55 it was crazy, and fast and really if I could garentee that all my deliveries would be that easy and fast I would do it the same every time. The doctor and nurses were great and really I feel good compared to my first delivery. I recovered a lot faster and didn't have near the pain, so that is my story of how little Charlie got here. Kind of funny side note neither one of my kids were delivered by my own doctor, go figure maybe it will be a trend for me.
This post is turning into a marathon post but bear with me I have one more thing then I will put pictures up. It is official we are moving back to UT for Brian's fourth year, I know that most of you already know this but I just wanted to say that we would like to find some renters for this house for our land lord. We are moving out the 13th of June and it is a decent place to live, it's in the Belair Ward and there are lots of students here. The rent is reasonable it's cheaper than an apartment and it is a 3 bedroom with a back yard. The land lord is way chill and easy to work with, if anyone is interested or knows anyone who might be please let us know it will be vacant as of June.

Charlie was born Thursday morning at 5:55am, it was a extremely fast birth and we were lucky she waited till we got to the hospital. She didn't wait for the epidural though, but we survived and we are both doing really well. We got to go home today and it is kind of nice to get to relax at home. Big sister is great with her we are lucky to have such a nice helper, but she doesn't get why she doesn't want to play toys.

Easter Fun!

Even though we didn't get to play with family this year for Easter we still managed to have some fun. Every year Brian's school does a get together for the families, there are games and Easter egg hunts and cookie decorating they put a lot of effort into it. This year even though it rained and had to be moved inside we had a lot of fun. Lizzie still hasn't learned to be competitive yet (she ended up with only three eggs) but she loved the Easter bunny and she even got a balloon. All in all it was a success.
Sunday, she opened her Easter basket and found some eggs. She is defiantly a sugar monster, she even had a lot of fun at nursery, we are going to miss this nursery they really are the best! I don't know of any other little girl that sleeps with her dinosaur, but Lizzie does and she loves it. We played the rest of the day low key and just kept it simple with a few games and a walk but all in all it was a good day with to much sugar, isn't that what Easter is all about? Hope everyone had a fun Easter too. Sorry these are in random order, they all are Easter related.

Am I really that old?

I have been having a little crisis lately because, and I know that it is just because I am pregnant (yes I blame most things on being prego). But, a few weeks ago was my birthday and I realized that I am now closer to 30 than 20 that is really scary. What really gets me is the closer I get to having a second child the more I can't believe that I am old enough to be a mother of two. When you have one there is something about it that even though you are a mom it still isn't that big of a deal. But once you have two, you become a mother and things just seem different. Don't get me wrong I am way excited about all of this but yes I am a little freaked out about it.
Yesterday, our double stroller arrived and I had to step back and say yes I will be pushing this huge thing around and both seats will be occupied. It really just made all of this more of a reality, I now own a double stroller. I don't know if anyone else feels this way but really I don't think I am old enough to have two kids, but apparently I am!

Lizzie loved taking it out on a maiden voyage, she had to test out both seats and even blue baby got a chance.

Cool-aid

Lizzie has found a new obsession as of a few weeks ago, for St Patrick's day we bought some green Kool-aid because I thought that it would be festive. Well she is now in love with kool-aid, every morning she wakes up and asks for some. She likes to pic out the flavors and she thinks that it is really cool when her tongue changes colors. She loves to look in the mirror and see what color it is today.
On another cool note I am 36 weeks and 2 days, yeah for only 26 more days to go. Cross your fingers that it might not be that long!

This is kind of a random post but I didn't have a lot to post about but I did have some time on my hands. We have had a fun weekend playing with our friends and celebrating my birthday. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of my own birthday but I do have some random pics of Lizzie. One she just asked me to take a picture of her reading so I did, the other I took because I just can't resist a sleeping kid. She is so cute when she sleeps, it was warm in her room but she insists on using her blankets lately so she was sweating but I still think she is cute. Thanks Frosts for watching Lizzie so we could go out, she had a ton of fun.

Our Green Holiday

Sorry this is a couple days late but our internet has been acting funny. We had a fun St. Patrick's day on Tuesday, by the way thanks for the good ideas. I was going to get up and make some leprechaun feet across the floor but of course the one day I actually had something planned she decided to wake up really early, which she never does. I am hoping it doesn't become a regular thing this waking up early, not my favorite thing in the world. Anyway, we got up and made green pancakes for breakfast, the picture doesn't do them justice. Later in the day Lizzie helped me make green sugar cookies, her favorite part was eating the dough. She did get sidetracked and ended up playing in the sink with her dinosaurs. Later that evening we had some friends over for Reuben sandwiches and green ice cream with sprite, oh don't forget the green cookies. I didn't get any pictures which I should have. Oh and the cookies aren't real shamrocks because we have this bin of 101 cookie cutters and I assumed that there would be a shamrock in there but of course there wasen't, there is practically every other thing you can think of but no shamrock I should have checked. All in all we had a lot of fun for it being a kind of lame holiday, we just can't wait for Easter, Lizzie is already dreaming up great ideas.

I have lived here in Glendale for almost three years and I still can't get used to this wonderful weather, Spring is officially here Friday but you have to check out this weeks weather I am so excited we might actually go swimming this week. Yes swimming in march and I know that there are friends out there that have already ventured to the pool, I am a little late this year.
On a side note does anyone have any good St. Patrick's day ideas, Lizzie is so excited about it and I really don't know how to make it fun for her.

My Little Leprechaun

Just a funny story to make you laugh, it just goes to show how parenting is very unpredictable. Every Thursday our ward has a play group over at this park by our house. We haven't been to it for a few weeks because we were out of town. I had told Lizzie in advance that we were going to the park and she was all stoked and such. When we got there she just wanted to stand right next to me and play with her stick. I was fine with that until she started whining and asking me to follow her around the park away from all the other kids. I explained to her that we were here to play with the kids and she was welcome to go where ever she wanted as long as I could see her. She got a little upset and I tried to tell her that we don't cry at the park we play and have fun. After a couple more times of this back and forth being the typical mom I threatened that we would have to go home if this continued. Of course it did so I packed her up and proceeded to drive home, expecting a screaming child that would be upset at being punished and loosing her playdate. Instead she sang the whole way home and was as happy as a child could be, my punishment totally backfired.

We haven't posted in a while because Lizzie and I snuck back to UT for a couple of weeks to play a little bit. Brian had a rotation down in Sierra Vista and we didn't get to see him much. To save our sanity my mom flew down and drove back up with us. Needless to say she doesn't want to make that trip again. Even though it took us a little over 13 hours to make it to her house we had a lot of fun. Between the snow and the friends Lizzie had a blast. Sorry to those who didn't get to play as much as we would have liked, I got really sick the last week and that slowed down our fun a little. I obviously didn't take as many pictures as I would have liked but I hope you enjoy the one's I did.

I was squirting off the patio the other day (not that we have much of one), and Lizzie had so much fun playing in the water I had to record it. Also because I had nothing else to post about so I am kind of stretching for things, but this is a cute video. Hope it works!

On a side note, is my child the only child to insist on taking a walk in the rain every time it rains? She loves the rain we have to play in it and splash and take walks in it too. Don't get me wrong I love the rain but I prefere to watch it from the cover of the porch. It is really cute until she insists that I come out in it. I love her!

Random Things

I don't really know what I am posting about other than a few random things. Sad yes we have to mention the Cardinals, it was a better game than I thought it was going to be and for a moment I thought they had a chance at winning. Alas, they just couldn't pull it off.

Second, the other day Lizzie and her dad were doing a little studying on the bed together, it was really cute. She wants to be like her dad so much I love taking pics of them together.

Third, yeah I am 28 weeks and counting it's not going by as fast as I would like it to but what do you do.

I know that it has been a while since I posted last and things are looking better. We have been trying to figure out our new video camera and so we haven't taken a lot of pics with our camera. It took a while to find the right format to get the video's to work on our post. I have actually tried to post a couple times before this one and I couldn't get the video's to work. Please tell me if you have a hard time or are unable to get this video to work.
Since the last post we have been enjoying the wonderful weather here in January yes it has been 70 degrees reaching as high as 78, sometimes I forget that it is still only January. Although just to let you know this week the high is only supposed to be 65.
Since getting a hummingbird feeder we have moved on to a bird feeder and Lizzie and her dad made a bird house together which she checks everyday for birds.

I have decided that I have good intentions but I am not really good at finishing tags. A while back I got a recipe tag and now Katie tagged me again so I will break down and do it. By the way Katie I agree that your pizza is really good. I am not that adventurous but this is a easy recipe that is really good and pretty quick we do it a couple times a month.

I don't know what it is called but I call it Stove Top Chicken Casserole

1/2 Cup hot water
1/2 stick butter
1 package stove top stuffing
6 sm boneless chicken breasts
1 can Cream of Chicken Soup
1/3 cup sour cream

Preheat oven to 375. Mix water, butter (melted) and stuffing in a bowl. Defrost chicken and place in a 9 by 13 greased baking dish. Add sour cream and soup to the chicken, cover with stuffing. Cover and cook for 35 mins check the chicken and eat.

WARNING: A little bit of a whiny post

I know that my life could be a lot worse, but sometimes it feels like life just gets complicated all at once. It definitely is time that we have a couple road bumps in our life, because it has been good for so long. I also think that when you are pregnant things seem to be a bigger deal than they really are (blame it on the hormones), and add a husband who is tired and stressed and it's a little stressful. Anyway I have decided that dogs are expensive especially ours. Last week I noticed that River had a small bump just below her eye it didn't seem to bother her so I have been keeping a eye on it and well. Monday it blew up to the size of a ping pong ball, by Tuesday it was red and getting bigger. So I broke down and took her to the vet (I just want to say I really don't like our vet here and I try to avoid it if we can), needless to say 320 dollars later we left with some antibiotics and still no idea what is wrong with her. This morning her eye was almost swollen shut and it looked like it was spreading. On top of that Brian comes home and decides that his windshield in his car needs to be replaced because it has numerous large cracks in it. Add another 150 dollars on top of what we don't have. I am just looking forward to a tax return, just to pay off our credit cards. Sorry to whine I just needed to get that off my chest.
On a lighter note we got a humming bird feeder the other day and we have been having a lot of fun watching all the humming birds everyday, I love AZ in January.

That is what our life has come down to these past few days. We have had a pretty slow week just relaxing and getting back into the groove of things. I do want to say that we have almost made it to week 25 yeah, only 15 more to go (that sounds like a lot)!

Yesterday we made the long trek home and it was by far the longest trip to date. It took us about 12 hours and 45 mins give or take some. We made a total of 11 stops and most of them consisted of Lizzie crying for a potty then doing nothing it was lots of fun. I have a feeling that this won't be our longest trip after we add another child to the mix our trips just might get longer. It is kind of a bitter sweet feeling to be home. On one hand it is nice to finally unpack and try to get organized again. On the other hand spending six long weeks with family is really nice and really hard to leave. I think this time was one of the hardest to come home because we are not really sure when we will be back. The other times we could always say when we were coming back, but right now we are at the point in our lives where the future is not planned, it is kind of freaking me out. Now that I have said that, I need to say how much fun we had with our families. We are so lucky to have so much love and support. Thanks to everyone we were truly blessed this holiday season and we have never felt so loved! We Love You All!

For Christmas my parents gave Lizzie a little table and chairs they are really cute. But to add to that my dad painted them purple, Lizzie's favorite color. Also my very talented sister hand painted these pics on the table (yes they are painted free hand). Lizzie loves them!

Winter Wonderland

It truly is a White Christmas here in Utah. We've been having so much fun playing with our family. I can say though I don't take enough pics, and traveling between the two Grandparents houses I feel a little strung out. I am always missing something and I can truly say I feel pregnant because I am constantly looking for something I have misplaced. Today Lizzie made her first snowman (with the help of her daddy). It was so cute because she is a little obsessed with Frosty and when we put the hat on his head she asked if he could walk around. I had to explain that real Frosty's don' t walk we just have to pretend. I felt so bad because I know in her mind she was totally expecting to play with Frosty all day. She just keeps saying Frosty won't melt, and I have to reassure her that he will be there later. Hope everyone is having a good Holiday season, it is nice to have our husbands home for a few weeks. I Love Christmas!

I haven't posted for a while because we've been so busy. It's nice to get to play with all of our family and friends. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with great food and not a lot of sleep.
Some things we have been doing:

Playing with grandparents
Enjoying some snow for the first time
Hanging with lots of cousins
Eating a lot of good food (gaining a lot of weight)
Just having a good time

It's official the majority wins! It's a GIRL! We are really excited and yes everything looks perfect, she even stuck her tongue out for the camera. Lizzie suggested that we name her little sister but we have yet to come up with something better than that and actually agree on it. Girls names are really hard for us and we already used up the one that we both agree on. We are just happy to have a healthy little one on the way!

But after a little tender love and care I was able to revive it and lo and behold it's like getting a new toy all over again. I really need to start hiding some of her toys for a few months. We are gearing up for our big trip home on Saturday and we can't wait! Lizzie has been a little sick with a runny nose and Brian is getting ready for his test on Friday. We have discovered the joy of Christmas lights thanks to the Johnsons down the street. We literally wait all day until it is dark enough to go for a walk and see the lights. We have decided that we are going to miss the 70 to 80 degree weather down here. I am excited to see some snow but really where else can you enjoy Christmas lights in your shorts and a light jacket. We are keeping busy and the days are flying by. I love the holidays!

When it rains here it pours, and then it is over it is really quite amazing. Lizzie truly enjoyed this last rain storm yesterday. This was the first time I have seen her be that brave and by the end she and her dad were running through the puddles. It was great!

Last post I made a comment or two about how Lizzie is upset about no more Halloween, the first day we told her it was over she cried and every once in a while she would ask me if Halloween was still over. So determined to get her excited about Thanksgiving Brian set out to help her get over her Halloween blues. So far they have made a turkey, a pilgrim, a Thanksgiving potty chart, and a Thanksgiving name tag that she wears around her neck like her daddies name tag. It's no wonder she loves him so much. I can't help but like him a little too!

Halloween is officially over and we don't know what to do. Lizzie looks forward to our nightly walks to see all the Halloween lights she is going to be so disappointed tonight when we go out and all the lights are off and people have put their decor away. How do you explain to a 2 year old that Halloween is over and we have to wait a whole year for the next one?
We had a lot of fun yesterday Brian's school does a trick-or-treat party and we got a lot of candy this morning Lizzie is just going through her bag and opening everything to see what it is and if she likes it. She has decided anything that melts or gets stuck in her teeth isn't that cool so pretty much she sticks to suckers which is fine with me because then she eats less candy. After wards we went to one of our friends houses for soup and snacks she is a great cook. It we had started our night at 3:30 so by 8:30 all of us were done and we called it a night. I forgot my camera so we didn't get any actual Halloween pics but I figured that last week made up for it.

Yesterday was a good day all around. It started out with Brian getting an email to come pass out fliers for our ward. Here in AZ we have a proposition that the church is urging us to get the word out about. It has to do with marriage between a man and a woman. It is really a great thing and it felt really good to go help our ward spread the news. On Brian's way to pick up the fliers he noticed a toddler bed for sale in a yard sale. We have been looking for one for a while now. He was able to get it for 20 dollars plus the mattress we were way excited. So our little girl is officially a big girl she is potty trained and now she sleeps in a big girl bed (if any one has any suggestions as to how to keep her in bed I am looking for advice, today she fell asleep on the floor). It was also produce week and we got some good stuff. Later that night we had our ward trunk-or-treat and we convinced Lizzie to wear her costume and with only a mild meltdown she realized that it was fun to dress up. She wore it the whole time and she loved trick-or-treating she is now an official candy addict along with the rest of the world. We then had another party at our friends Brett and Rachel's and we carved pumpkins and had a lot of fun. Lizzie was honestly the highlight of the party because none of our friends there had kids, on the way home it was 10 at night (way past her bed time we are horrible parents) Lizzie asked if we could go to another party. Along with candy she loves parties also, as long as she is the center of the fun. She also made a great friend we didn't get a pic I was sad but Brett and Rachel's new dog Tucker is her new best friend (I think he liked the chocolate on her hands) but he followed her around half the night it was really cute. Thanks guys we had a lot of fun!

I haven't posted forever, but I keep putting it off. My mother came over the weekend and we played a lot. We went to in'n out to many times, we went shopping for Halloween things since Lizzie is obsessed, we went to the Zoo and had a lot of fun. Lizzie and her are truly kindred spirits. I am afraid we had so much fun we forgot to take pics but here are a couple we did manage, thanks mom for coming and playing with us we love you!

I haven't posted in a while because I didn't really have any pics to put up but last night I took a few to show what we have been doing. Nothing to exciting but it's just our life.

First thanks to all those who helped with my peaches I successfully canned and jammed (I don't think that is the correct term but you get the point) a whole box of peaches yeah! Oh by the way we made a whole lot more but I had already put it away when I decided to take a pic so this is all you get to see.

In our ward the bishop's wife has been teaching sewing classes and it's been really fun. We made aprons and they turned out great. Excuse the model it was late last night when we took the pic.

Finally, we have been working on singing the ABC's with Lizzie and I think it is catching on (maybe).

Peaches!

Help I am attempting to can some peaches all by myself! I have a whole box of peaches and I was planning on making jam out of half the box and I have done that plenty of times but I have never canned peaches. I read up on it and it sounds pretty easy but I don't have a canner. If anyone has one or knows anyone who does please let me know I think you can seal them with just boiling water but I don't know for sure. If anyone has any tips I am all ears thanks!
