Finals are here again, did you know that this is our second to last finals week? Brian has been studying really hard and is getting ready for a full week. Lizzie is working on her crawling and she has some new flashcards and she is working on colors and animals. I am just trying to get through the day without having to watch 101 Dalmatians again, thanks Grammy and Grandpa Hall! Love you all

Oh remember, remember . . .

Today while watching President Hinckley's funeral I couldn't help but think of the way that he has impacted my life. I wanted to remember him and I wanted to be able to teach my kids about my prophet. I am taking time to day to write about him and all that I remember in our family journal, so we will not forget the wonderful man who was laid to rest today. It was a beautiful funeral and the words that were spoken today were a fitting tribute. I hope that we all can remember something about this man today and write it down somewhere. He truly was a prophet of God and a wonderful role model for people everywhere!

It's not snowing here!

I heard that UT got another big snow storm, I almost miss it (haha not really). This picture was taken out on our deck yesterday. I thought about putting a jacket on her but she didn't need it.

Thanks Grammy and Grandpa for sending her kitchen she was missing it a lot.

Let's Go!

We finally broke down and bought Lizzie a new forward facing car seat because she was outgrowing our old one. It just came today and I was testing it out in the house first to make sure that it worked and she fit etc. Well she wouldn't get out of the car seat she liked it so much, I just had to take some pictures of course.

It's Been A Long Time!

Wow we are finally home! Not that we are glad it's just nice to come home sometimes. We want to thank you all for such a wonderful time we had this holiday season. Congrats to Jenny and Jed for a beautiful baby Addie, we love you. We had a great time up there in all of that snow, it is nice to be back in the warmer 65ish weather (haha). Thank you to the Snow's and Mom and Dad, for letting us stay with you guys as always. It was so great to see our families and how much everyone is growing. I want to remind everyone to keep Samantha in your prayers at this time, I hear that she is doing good. We love you all and here are some pictures we took. Oh and I am going to put a video on of our little reader, I couldn't resist!

Ho Ho the Mistletoe!

It's that time of year again, a time of love and remembrance of Christ's birth. Also, a time of stress over money, schedules, decorating etc. It seems like the older I get the more aware of these stresses of Christmas I become. I have talked to people about the best way to approach Christmas with kids and have come to the conclusion as always that there is no right way. But, I don't think that it is my way to forget about Santa altogether. I think that using Santa in the right way as a symbol of giving and teaching your children the similarities between Santa and Christ not to be sac religious you need to read the book that my mother gave me a while back called I believe in Santa. I hope to try and teach my children that Christmas is about giving and receiving, but mostly about Christ. I have found that you can look around and find symbols of Christ all over the Christmas Season. I hope that we can all recognize these symbols in our lives and remember Christ this Christmas Season.

As an early Christmas present we bought a Zoo pass and we had so much fun. Lizzie loved the Scarlet Macaw and my favorite was the rhino. Lizzie is getting big enough to actually look at a lot of the animals. It was fun for us also because neither one of us had ever been to another zoo besides Hogle.
We had a great vacation these last two weeks and we are so grateful to everyone for being so generous to us. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful family who loves us so much. THANK YOU EVERYONE!

Test Time

Hey guys thanks for a great week, we had a lot of fun visiting up in Utah. It is nice to be back home too, we missed Dad and River. We had a great Halloween and Lizzie was a beautiful butterfly. Thanks to the Lee's for letting us stay at your house, we had fun hanging out with Sammie. Our flight back to AZ was a little crowded but we are lucky that it is only an hour and 10 mins long. Brian is starting finals tomorrow and we are gearing up for another long week, but we can't wait for Friday, it is our light at the end of the tunnel. Today we got to substitute in nursery and so it makes for a long Sunday but we love the kids and appreciate those that do it every week. We can't wait to see you all again next week, if we don't get to update this, this week it is because our internet is not working all that well right now. Love you all
